Wellness Student Involvement

Are you ready to make a positive impact on the lives of fellow students while also enriching your own? Volunteer in our student wellness programs and contribute to a healthier 91影视 community. 

  • Advocate for the health and wellness of your fellow students 
  • Assist in health education programs 
  • Raise awareness about wellness issues 
  • Develop and put in place health education and awareness programs 

Student Wellness Advisory Board (SWAB)

Students on the Student Wellness Advisory Board (SWAB) will work closely with the Wellness Services Department. They will provide feedback from a student鈥檚 perspective as well as advocate for the health and wellness of all 91影视 students.

The Student Wellness Advisory Board meets once a month during the Fall and Spring semester. Register on GivePulse and receive a volunteer hour! All students are welcome.

Wellness Advocates

This is a long-term volunteer opportunity with Wellness Services. If you are interested in having a voice in student wellness and need volunteer hours, please see below!

Wellness Advocates will:

  • Educate the 91影视 community about Wellness Services
  • Assist in health education programs
  • Raise awareness of timely wellness issues in our community
  • Provide information, resources, and referrals to students
  • Participant on the Student Wellness Advisory Board
  • Other duties as assigned

Peer Health Education Program Scholarship

The primary role of a Peer Health Educator is to develop and implement health education and awareness programs with the goal of improving the long-term healthy behaviors of 91影视 students. Health education topics include stress management, healthy sleep habits, mental health, sexual health, alcohol and drug prevention, suicide prevention, healthy relationships and more. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current 91影视 student
  • Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
  • Interested in health and wellness
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Must be in good conduct standing with 91影视
  • Support the goals, expectations, and mission of Wellness Services and 91影视
  • Be able to commit approximately 3 hours per week

The scholarship application process opens each Spring semester.
